From March 24th to April 1st
24/3 Thursday
First motorcycle lesson. Instructor was not a friendly guy. Since I’ve never ride a manual motorcycle before, I faced some problems regarding the brake. For your information, manual motorcycle has a leg brake which controls the back wheel’s brake. While the automatic ones, you use your left hand to control the brake. So in order to control the brake, I need a ‘brain-wash’ – use leg, not hand…Use leg, not hand. Haiz… Instructor didn’t let me try out the ‘titi’ and the ‘8shape’.
After the lesson, rush home to have a bath (the helmet provided stinks). Simply ate lunch then off I go to school to watch the school band (CHHSB) rehearse. Meet ex-members at the restaurant behind our school. According to them, 12.45pm rehearse cancelled; only going to rehearse at 3.30pm.
Plan changed. 6 people using 2 cars to reach Times Square; watched ‘HITCH’. Got home late because the movie started late plus bad traffic. Parents were furious when I reach home. They gave me a feeling I’m going to be grounded if I ever reach home late again. -.-
25/3 Friday
Went to the dentist first thing in the morning thinking finally, my lower jaw will be braced. Yet again, I’m disappointed. The dentist only tightens the upper jaw. New gadgets were inserted. Now I have 2 springs in my mouth; one on each side. If they ever snap, I need to go back to the dentist straightaway.
Missed the ‘Hari Cemerlang’ ceremony because of the dental appointment. Thought I will be able to attend it after the appointment but when I called Lee Siong around 10 am, he said the ceremony was over. Didn’t even found out how much I was supposed to get.
After lunch, took a taxi to school. Finally got to watch the school band rehearse. Formation was quite good and music too; just the movement not very neat (wrong leg, steps not following the tempo etc.). I wonder how they will beat VI and St. John with the current condition.
26/3 Saturday
Kuala Lumpur Zone School Band Competition. Need to reach school before 6.30am. Siu Yan’s mother came and picks me up. After more than 6 months, my band t-shirt, band badge and name tag finally ‘Chong Jian Tian Ri’. According to Miss Lee, all schools can’t bring any supporters into the school compound. But when the competition started, it was a complete different story. Supporters from VI and St. John out number even our own students.
CHHSB did us proud when they successfully made it into the final which will be held at Dataran Merdeka on the 9th of April, this Saturday night. The other finalists are Victoria Institute, St. John, Convent Bukit Nanas and Cochran*dunno the real spelling :P*. “Yao Guai Mok Guai.
30/3 Wednesday
Finally got my reward for scoring 8 A’s – RM 100. Miss Lee sent it over to me. I got the band competition VCD too; burned by, of course Miss Lee. Sister got an offer to be a temporary teacher at Chong Hwa since the school currently lack a few teachers. Miss Lee asks her to go for a walk in interview the next day.
31/3 Thursday
The second motorcycle lesson. I did almost the same thing like last time only that the instructor gave me the chance to try out the whole course once. ‘8 shape’ was easier than I thought. I get through it easily. But the ‘titi’ was a different story. I can’t stay on the ‘titi’. I even fell down when I go through the ‘selekoh tajam’. Oh, I brought my own helmet there this time.
1/4 Friday
The last motorcycle lesson. Sigh… I did worst than yesterday. ‘Titi’, never get through even ONCE. Oh god, how am I going to pass my test next Wednesday? I can’t balance the motorcycle single hand, means I can’t use hand signal. OMG… OMG… What can I do? Who can help me? It’s the last lesson and I’m still not familiar with what I should do to pass the test.
After the miserable lesson, I went home and quickly finish my lunch which was cooked by my sister. Her cooking was good. But she forgot to cut the beef into smaller pieces. Because of braces, I can’t stuff too big piece of anything into my mouth. Ok, enough about the food thing. After eating and cleaning up the dishes, we leaved house for KLCC. Took LRT, then rush to TGV at 4th floor. Make it just in time to catch the 1.30pm ‘Miss Congeniality 2’ staring Sandra Bullock.
Weird thing is the sits in the cinema was all wet. My sis insisted that it was caused by the air-con. But I felt that my jeans is getting wetter and wetter. What makes the condition worst was that a girl sitting on my right side have body odour. Oh gosh, why am I so unlucky that day? Every time she do a slight movement either trying to adjust her sitting position or reaching for her drink, the stench will straightaway come to my poor nostrils.
After the movie, we went back to Wangsa Maju and boarded a taxi to school. Sister needs to report her interview result with the MoE to the Afternoon In charge. Guess who was the taxi driver? Pn Siti Zurina bt Salleh’s (a teacher in SM Chong Hwa teaching science subject and the teacher advisor of the Kadet Polis) father. The world is small.
